The Lo/Hi switch functions similarly to a Q control, sharpening the frequency peak affected by the Mids knob. “Lo” produces a soft, broad peak, resulting in a smooth response when adjusting the Mids and Sweep knobs. “Hi” produces a sharp, steep peak, yielding a very sharp and distinct effect when adjusting the Mids and Sweep knobs.
