Opuntia violacea (syn. Opuntia santa-rita) - Purple prickly pear

Purple Prickly Pear is one of the most popular types of Prickly Pear used in the Southwest because of its durability and beauty. These have a naturally wide distribution in several areas of the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts but they are only common in some places. The purple color on the pads will become more pronounced due to drought stress or during periods of cold weather. Pads are typically gray-green, with some purple hues, and can have a few long spines but all pads have numerous brown to black glochids. Plants ship bare root. Cuttings have no roots.

Love this book

I love this little book! I bought it for my 13 month old and she loves opening the flaps when I'm reading the book to her. The book is great quality.

Fun experience for a new toddler
Format: Board book
There are 6 flaps in total, so 12 pages for the book. Not much to read, but more for the interaction to open those flaps. The edges are rounded, so there shouldn't be any paper cuts for the little one. With that said, this book is thicker than usual, so it's a little tougher for the baby to flip through the chunky pages. The storyteller would probably enhance the reading of the book. And for now, the little one is saying "booooKK" for the past 3 days, wanting to get her hands on this new book.

Cute little book about kindness
Format: Board book
It's not a story so much as a bunch of kind, polite phrases, but it rhymes and the illustrations are adorable; so, we enjoyed it anyway.

This book is sturdy, colorful and cute. The baby likes it, so we are happy we got it. The whole collection is worthwhile, and is very well designed for little hands. The baby is now 18 mo old.
